Being stuck at home sick for a couple of months gave me the push to finally try something I’ve always wanted to learn—quilting. I’ve always found it a little intimidating, so I decided to start with a rag quilt as a first project 🥰 This one’s a baby blanket made up of 48 front squares and 48 back squares, all 7x7 inches. I used eight different fabrics for the front and one consistent fabric for the back. I also cut 48 batting squares at 5x5 inches. Cutting everything took some time, but it’s the first step! After that, I laid out the squares to get the pattern right and took a photo for reference before I start sewing. I’ll be sharing the whole process as I go—can’t wait to see how it all comes together. #ragquilt #beginnerquilting #quiltingproject #babyquilt #homemadebabyblanket #quiltinprogress #diyquilt #quiltingcommunity #brothersewingmachine #sewingathome #modernquilting #handmadewithlove
Baby number two is a….. 🩷🩵🩷🩵 We are over the moon and can’t wait to meet our sweet little baby this November 🥰 You can probably tell from my face—I was so shocked! I truly thought we were having a girl! I almost didn’t post this because I look so tired and sick (hello first trimester 😅), but then I reminded myself… this moment is about the joy and a special moment with loved ones. I’m just so thankful for this little family of mine, and we are beyond excited to welcome our baby boy this Fall! #BabyBoyOnTheWay #GenderRevealSurprise #NovemberBaby #ThankfulMama #PregnancyJourney
I’m not usually a breakfast person, but pregnancy has definitely changed that—now I love having these prepped and ready to grab! 🥰 I like to keep things as simple as possible, and these breakfast burritos are both easy to make and delicious. Thinking of trying them with homemade green chile next time, but this brand was surprisingly good! #BreakfastBurritos #MealPrepIdeas #FreezerMeals #PregnancyCravings #EasyBreakfast #FoodPrep #MakeAheadMeals #FreezerFriendly #MealPrepMamas #GrabAndGoBreakfast
We survived a road trip from Denver to Orlando with a one-year-old—and this is what the car looked like when we got back 😅 I came prepared with plenty of entertainment for our daughter, and it made all the difference! If you’re planning a long drive with little ones, my biggest tips are: break the trip into multiple days and take lots of pit stops to let them get their wiggles out. I packed a huge variety of toys and all the snacks. One of her favorite toys was pulling tissues out of the box and wipes out of the wipe package 😂 Also, small win: I finally reached the point in this pregnancy where the car smell doesn’t make me gag anymore 🙌 #FamilyRoadTrip #TravelWithKids #RoadTripWithBaby #MomLifeUnfiltered #PregnancyJourney #OneYearOldAdventures #TravelTipsForParents #RealMomMoments #toddlertravel
I recorded this video when I was 8 weeks pregnant—right in the thick of the nausea. I’m still feeling sick these days, but nothing compared to how rough it was at this point! The best thing I’ve done for myself is to be kind, give myself grace, and rest. My little goal has been to do just one small productive thing during each of my daughter’s naps… but on this day, her second nap lined up with mine, and that was more than okay. Progress looks different every day! #pregnancy #8weekspregnant #pregnancyproductivity #productivity #kitchencleaning
