Silkworm number 2 is cocooning! I think I’m going to open up the other little guy to see what’s going on with our little moth. What do you guys think? I’m nervous!!!
Get ready to witness the life cycle of a crested gecko🦎 This is something that I have always dreamed of, but never thought I’d get the opportunity hatch. It’s not simple to get your hands on a gecko egg, so you can imagine how excited I am! Crested geckos are small, nocturnal, arboreal (animals that primarily live in trees) reptiles native to New Caledonia. They’re known for their unique “crest” of spiny skin along their head and back. Eggs take 60-120 days to hatch, and 1 year for the baby to grow to adult. They feed on fruit-based diets and insects, and can live for 15-20 years with proper care. Hatching rates vary, so here’s to hoping our baby successfully hatches. Then, I’ll bring her back to the owner at the pet store to live the best life possible. I don’t think I’m ready to keep her, but who knows, maybe Raffi and I will fall in love. I am so ready to witness the life cycle of this fascinating creature! Who’s with me?! Thank you so much Josh at The Beastiary Pet Shop for making our dreams come true💚
