Tumbling geodes to uncover what’s underneath the surface 🪨 I bought these geodes to hammer open…and when I couldn’t crack them open, I decided to tumble them to see the fortress hidden inside! Geodes take millions of years to form - they’re hollow rocks where crystals live! They form when water seeps into cracks in the rock, and layers of minerals build up. I hrew a garden from a McDonald’s hamburger 🍔🌱

Blueberries are getting pricey. So I bought some to see if I could grow a blueberry garden myself.

Some think it’s mold - but it’s cream top milk!🥛 Trying it was an adventure! Cream top milk is a natural result of milk fat globules rising to the top in whole, non-homogenized milk! So would that technically make it butter?🤔 Homogenized milk is treated to prevent the fat from separating and rising to the top. It’s creamy, rich, smooth…and it tastes so good! So I’m going to try and find other brands to try bc I want to see which milk can produce the thickest cream top! Thank you to all the amazing farmers who make this delicacy a possibility!

This year I didn’t want mantis eggs growing on my tree, so I grew my own with chia seeds🎄

Day 9 and 10 had some surprises in store…

I’m growing borax crystals with items I tied to a string! I thought it takes 24 hours for the borax crystals to grow, but apparently it only takes 45 minutes! I tried with 4 different solutions. One blue, one yellow, and two clear! I tied one rose quartz, one geode, and two charms to strings and then tied those to a spoon and suspended them into the liquid. The crystal and geode are from the rocks we tumbled/ geodes we cracked open! Thanks for the suggestion in growing borax crystals - let me know what you want to see grow next and I’ll 100% try it!💚
