You get a carrot 🥕 and you get a carrot!🥕 This carrot cake design makes me smile because it’s pretty weird looking as a whole cake, but the magic happens when it’s cut up into slices!🥕🧡🥕🧡🥕 This is a single layer 9 inch @bettycrocker carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Frosting recipe: - 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, room temp - 1 8oz block cream cheese - 400g confectioner’s sugar (roughly 3.5 cups) - 1 tsp vanilla extract In a stand mixer with the paddle attachment, mix the butter and cream cheese for 1 min on medium speed. Then add the sugar and vanilla. And mix again for 2 mins (slow at first so the sugar incorporates, and then medium speed) The frosting will hold its shape when piped as long as it’s cold. If it starts to get warm from your hand holding it in the piping bag for too long, just pop it in the fridge for a bit! I used the @wiltoncakes 103 tip for the carrots, and green candy melts on parchment paper for the leaves! For the colors of the carrots I used @americolor orange for the first color, and then orange plus a drop of brown for the second color 🧡🤎 • • • • #carrot #carrotcake #cake #springcake #eastercake #cakedecorating

Birdhouse!! 🐦🏠🩵 I looove making cupcake houses and this one is perfect for Spring. I used graham cracker halves for the roof, a pretzel stick for the little platform the birds stand on, and a black candy melting wafer for the hole- a mini oreo would work too! The rest is just buttercream 🩵🌼
