Due to Mazu’s long-standing protection of local peace and safety, the residents affectionately refer to her as "Taiping Ma," symbolizing peace and stability. She holds great significance as a central figure of faith in the Xiluo region. Since the temple was established in the 56th year of the Kangxi reign (1717), Xiluo Fuxing Temple has served as the spiritual center for local residents. The miraculous deeds of Taiping Ma have been passed down through generations. Notably, during the Lin Shuangwen Rebellion in the Qianlong era, the local army and civilians prayed to Taiping Ma for protection. It is said that through her divine intervention, the area was able to safely weather the conflict.
