Where the sound of upbeat rhythms bring people together and uplift them with the power to fight the exploitative forces weighing on them… and nothing is more accurate 🙂‍↕️ The 2-tone ska movement was a working class, racial solidarity movement! Its impact on the genre GLOBALLY is undermined, and U.S. ska often gets written off for its commericalization, even tho many bands continued to carry that same spirit with them. As the toasters said, “It’s a modern look but it’s ALL about roots” 😤😤😤 Thank you @taste destroyer 🪩🕺🏳️‍⚧️ and we need more deep dives and acknowledgement for the rich history of the genre
