The Ridiculousness theme song, which is a reworked version of the Devo track “Uncontrollable Urge” is a big money maker according to vocalist Mark Mothersbaugh Even though “Whip It” is the band’s best-known song, “Uncontrollable Urge” is their biggest earner, bringing in over a million dollars a year thanks to the show with Rob Dyrdek. “I’ve written so many other songs for films and television shows,” Mothersbaugh told Rolling Stone. “I would’ve been shocked [years ago] if you told me this is the one that would become this prime source of income.” He continued, “MTV stopped playing us but we came to the other side of the circle. It’s a nice ironic twist because this was one of the songs we never even made a music video for. And now it’s maybe the most-played song ever on MTV.” #rock #alternative #ridiculousness

Slipknot, Falling in Reverse, and Five Finger Death Punch will headline this year’s Inkcarceration Festival. The fest returns July 18-20, 2025, featuring over 66 bands including Knocked Loose, Beartooth, Marilyn Manson, Slaughter to Prevail, Three Days Grace (with Adam Gontier), Crossfade and many more. One band name is still blurred out on the festival graphic. Any guesses? Clown of Slipknot said, “Slipknot is playing very few shows in the U.S. this year, so this will be special. It will be good to be back with our friends, family, and culture at the Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival. Stay safe! Stay (sic)!" Ronnie Radke of Falling In Reverse said, “I am honored to play side by side with legends like Slipknot, a band that I grew up listening to. See you soon, Ohio!!!” #slipknot #fallinginreverse #rock #metal #metalcore #numetal
Ozzy Osbourne broke the internet yesterday when he announced the Black Sabbath reunion/final show. Now, he’s offered an update on his current health. Ozzy has been battling Parkinson’s disease for years and unfortunately it has only gotten worse according to his wife Sharon Osbourne, telling The Sun “It's not something you can stabilize. It affects different parts of the body and it's affected his legs. But his voice is as good as it's ever been. On SiriusXM’s Ozzy’s Boneyard channel, Ozzy said “I have made it to 2025. I can't walk, but you know what I was thinking over the holidays? For all my complaining, I'm still alive. I may be moaning that I can't walk but I look down the road and there's people that didn't do half as much as me and didn't make it.” Sharon has confirmed that this will be Ozzy's last show. In an interview with BBC, Sharon said "Ozzy didn't have a chance to say goodbye to his friends, to his fans, and he feels there's no been no full stop. This is his full stop." #ozzyosbourne #blacksabbath #rock #metal #metalhead
Slaughter To Prevail frontman Alex Terrible will make his return to bare knuckle boxing after suffering an injury during a sparring match last November. On January 25th, the RCC Hard league will host a bare knuckle match between Terrible and Kazakh fighter Mukhamedkhan Ospanov. The fight will likely be available on the RCC Hard League YouTube channel, but I’m not 100% sure because I don’t speak Russian. #slaughtertoprevail #rock #metal #metalhead #deathcore
You know Limp Bizkit’s song, but do you know the surprisingly tender story behind it? This holiday season, gather around as the man with a beard and red hat tells us the real meaning of “Nookie” Fred Durst was doing an interview with Dazed for the new A24 film “Y2K” where he plays himself and when asked what he does it all for now, the nu-metal frontman said: "The funny thing about that though, nobody listened to the story in 'Nookie' they just listened to the catchphrase. It's like when I say Rage Against The Machine they listen to 'fuck you, I won't do what you tell me', they don't listen to the rest of it," said Durst. "'Nookie'. The first time I had been intimate with someone it happened later and I was very much head over heels in love because of that and I was just that guy. I was very much a vulnerable person in that world and I couldn't believe it even happened. So I fell in love and then this person was sleeping with other people and people would say 'Fred, you're so upset, why are you staying?' and I'd say 'because, we made love' and I found a different way to say that: I did it all for the nookie. That sounded more fun. So what I did it for then was the love. And what I do it for now is for the love. I have a new daughter, she's eight months old." #limpbizkit #numetal #metal #rock
ARE YOU READYYYY?! Well calm down, you’re gonna have to wait. Korn is currently working on their follow-up to the 2022 album “Requiem“, but it’s gonna be awhile before we hear it. The nu metal band’s guitarist Brian “Head” told the Everblack Podcast: “…We got a lot of it [written]. We’re still working. Dude, it’s a trip 30 years later, man, to try to keep doing it. And we’re very happy with what we got, but it’s just gonna take a while. And I don’t know how long — maybe next summer, maybe next year, the next winter, I don’t know, but it’s not gonna be soon.” Maybe we’ll hear some of it before the System of a Down stadium show? #korn #numetal #rock #metal #metalhead
