LET THEM SNIFF! I’ve recently seen a lot of people walking their dogs through the park or on the trail and when their dog puts their nose to the ground they instantly pull their dog up and pull them along. It drives me insane I can’t lie but as most people are walking their dog to expend their dog’s energy you are really missing a very important part of any dogs walk. Sniffing lowers your dog’s stress. The deep breathing works their cardiovascular system and the mental engagement it takes to process everything they’re smelling means your dog goes home feeling very enriched and more calm so please let your dog sniff on their walks! #dachshund #dogs
