"The department closed applications to the repayment plans last week after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit upheld and expanded a temporary suspension of the Saving on a Valuable Education plan, known as SAVE." - The New York Times
People don’t even know what the U.S. Department of Education does. People don’t know that there are state departments of education. They don’t know that state legislatures and school boards dictate curriculum standards. They don’t know the U.S. Department of Education is not ALLOWED to tell states or schools what to teach or how to teach it. People think Common Core is in every state. It’s not. People think we still have No Child Left Behind. We don’t. People think the federal government sets administrator salaries. They don’t! But YOU do. Spread the word.
