I’m Sadkelli today lol. We started posting on TikTok five years ago as a way to pass time - this was during lockdown and we were losing our minds with nothing to do. Hollywood shut down so my work dried up and Freeman’s law school courses went remote. With the extra time we turned to making fun videos to keep busy. Once we started posting, we were hooked. Tiktok was our escape from the 24 hour news cycle and overwhelming sadness of the pandemic. Our goal was always to create content that may make people smile during a dark time. Then somehow we were able to make a career out of it. Much to the confusion of our parents, Freeman even passed on a big time lawyer job to commit full time to learning VFX and TikTok lol. We kind of always thought that we’d post Tiktoks for the rest of our lives as a kind of journal. This was the first app we really started posting on and it would be the place we could look at in thirty years to watch ourselves grow old. We came across this video today as we were downloading all of our posts. This was our most viewed one. Funnily enough we didn’t really love it at first - we had a long conversation about whether or not we should even post it cause we didn’t think it was good enough. Or maybe we saw the potential of the idea and felt like we could do it even better, idk. Either way, I’m glad we posted it and so thankful we joined this silly app. It has helped us make so many great friends. I’m rambling, but this is all to say: Thanks for everything @TikTok and @Shou you completely changed our lives. 🥲 I’m gonna miss this app and community so much. ❤️
