Ofc there’s no “happy switch”, however it’s all about environment, outlook, and consistency. If your day to day environment is stressful and upsetting of course you’re going to be unhappy. That’s not so easy for everyone, sometimes you have to wait until you can step into your place- which does take patience but you have to look at what you’re fighting for. Along with the people you surround yourself with. If all your friends do is make fun of people, talk negatively about themselves and complain then that becomes a reflection of who you’ll be. The quote “surround yourself with people you want to be” is very true. The kinder and more positive your friends are, the happier you’ll be. It rubs off on others. That isn’t to say that your friends can’t have hard times or vent- no, it’s a consistency thing. If they are ONLY negative and never positive that’s where the issue lies. Outlook is huge because if you wake up expecting a bad day, YOULL HAVE A BAD DAY. If you go into the day with optimism and understanding for the uncertainty you’ll have a much better day. What I’m referring to, is wake up telling yourself your day will be good- but understand that there is uncertainty for twists and turns and not everyday will be perfect, but keep in mind. Not everyday is bad either, when you start to change your mindset, your feelings change too. You have to find a routine that works for you. Consistency is so so important. It’ll be difficult at first maybe having to force yourself to take care of everything but overtime it becomes habit. For example, picking up your environment everyday, putting trash in the trash can, rinsing your dishes after use, washing your face, skin care etc. you become energized after completing your tasks and you are much more relaxed knowing everything is taken care of. Of course mental health gets in the way, and I’m not an expert, but this is what works for me. I had been depressed and self loathing for 19 years before I found myself and my sparkle. If I can do it, you can too💕

One time when I was arguing with someone they said “you’re on a first name basis with the lunch ladies, you’re so weird” like??? They’re human beings?? I’m vegetarian and they literally made me something special everyday. OF COURSE IM GONNA BE NICE TO THEM???

I had the screenshots, the evidence, I easily could have hurt everyone else like they did me but I refused to. I refused to because the idea of hurting someone gave me a stomach pain! Even though they hurt me, I couldn’t hurt them. And I think that says more about them than me.
