official review: honestly the flavor of the oak wood had a hard time standing up to the strong flavor of the butter. There was hint (perhaps a whisper) of oak flavor, but idk maybe I imagined it. Honestly they still slapped, so no complaints here whatsoever. Maybe next time I’ll go even harder with the infusing. Idk. Also, look at me in the eyes and tell me that wood grain doesn't rule! What tree should I turn into ice cream next?? Birch ice cream review: I am super eager to try this again but with sweet birch or yellow birch. I was into the flavor we coaxed out of the twigs, I just wanted more of it. The King Arthur baking cookies were excellent, though, and would be even more interesting with a couple more weeks of extract infusing time. #woodworking #trees #wood #icecream
