Severe herniated disc in the lumbar spine, causing severe central canal stenosis. Feeling numbness, tingling and pain down both lower extremities and severe pain in the low back. Due to the severe nature of this case, she was advised if this treatment does not give her lasting results, that surgery should be considered sooner than later. This treatment is another conservative option to try before surgery, and like all treatments it might or might not help. She has already tried and failed traditional chiropractic, physical therapy and epidural steroid injections. If this treatment fails, there really isn’t any other conservative treatment to consider and surgery would be highly recommended. Because she had immediate relief, I am hopeful that she will feel prolonged benefit from this treatment. Even though physical therapy failed before, after receiving treatment at our clinic and getting decompressed, she should try physical therapy again, many patients have better outcomes with physical therapy, following decompression treatment with us. *I like to see the T2 images mostly but this one showed it perfectly.
