Lavesh steals my heart everytime ❤️ #Vlog #foodreview #sahm #lunch #family 🍋 Lemon Rice Recipe Ingredients: For the rice: 1 cup basmati Salt to taste For tempering: 1½ tbsp oil (coconut oil or any neutral oil) ½ tsp mustard seeds 1 tbsp chana dal (optional but traditional) 1 tbsp urad dal 1–2 dried red chilies 1–2 green chilies (slit or chopped) 1 sprig curry leaves ¼ tsp turmeric powder ⅛ tsp asafoetida (hing) – optional 2 tbsp peanuts or cashews (roasted or fried) Other: Juice of 1 lemon (adjust to taste) Fresh chopped cilantro (for garnish) Instructions: Cook the Rice: Wash the rice thoroughly and cook it until fluffy. Let it cool completely spread it out on a plate to avoid mushiness. Prepare the Tempering: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them pop. Add chana dal and urad dal; fry until golden. Add red chilies, green chilies, curry leaves, peanuts, turmeric, and asafoetida. Sauté everything for 1–2 minutes until aromatic. Mix Everything: Add the cooled rice to the pan. Gently mix to coat all the grains in the tempering and turmeric. Add salt if needed. Turn off the heat and add lemon juice. Mix well. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with chopped cilantro.
